What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account Data

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

Usage Data

Device & Browser Information

We automatically collect your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and referring URLs when you access Chavid.

Payment Data

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your card number, CVV, or full payment details on our systems. We receive only a transaction reference and billing confirmation from Stripe.

Communications Metadata

We collect metadata about communications made through the platform (such as timestamps, duration, and participant identifiers) for service delivery and security purposes. We do not record, store, or access the content of your video calls or messages.

User-Shared Information

Chavid has no control over how other users handle, store, or use information you share with them directly. Once you share information with another user, it is outside our systems and beyond our ability to retrieve or delete.

Please exercise caution and good judgement about what personal information you share with other users on the platform.

This policy covers only the data that Chavid itself collects and processes as Data Controller. It does not govern data exchanged directly between users.

With your consent, we use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with the platform — which features are used, where users encounter problems, and how we can improve the experience. These cookies do not identify you personally.

You can manage your cookie preferences through the cookie consent banner shown on your first visit, or by adjusting your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect platform functionality.
